“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” - Audrey Hepburn

Needless to say, life is strange right now. It's like something out of The Twilight Zone.
I've just been keeping to myself, as usual, spending time with my family and a lot of time in the garden.
It's been tough finding seedling transplants and i ordered seeds just in the nick of time.
People have not only hoarded paper products, and dried foods, but seeds and seedlings, as well.
This is the first year since moving from our farm in CA to WA, that we've grown all from seed.
In CA we had the space ; greenhouse and field to start everything from seed.

We bought a couple grow lights and started about 20 tomatoes, and a few of everything else indoors.
I've been hardening off the seedlings all week. Last weekend was spent filling the grow bags. I've filled 32 bags, which is 280 gallons of soil. I've built a few new raised beds, too. Now our veg garden has doubled.

Geekin out with the ferns.
They're so marvelous. I love watching them unfurl♥ Did you know they have neither seeds nor flowers, they reproduce via spores? There are 10,560 known species of fern♥ And they are some of the oldest plants in the world.

Sourdough<3
This is sprouoted spelt sourdough.
We ate it with Greek Lathera.
It was delicious<3

Bay, Heather, Yucca, and Fern.  All friends:)

More sourdough goodness.
:D
And yes that is lemon curd on sourdough.
It's amazing!

Our new resident cottontail. We've affectionately named him/her,
Braveheart.
Braveheart has some awesome markings!

Focaccia Art
:D
This was fun.
i decided to try my hand at focaccia art. I used my wild yeast, and made this a sourdough focaccia. Yellow sweet peppers, kalamata olives, chives, and basil for the sunflowers. Rosemary, rosemary flowers and sweet peppers for the rest. It's beautiful, but tastes even better than it looks ;D
