Garden Faery

It's been so rainy! I kinda like it. Summer rain.

I thrive in spring, and with the cool summer like we've been having it is like spring all summer, and it is so my vibe.

We doubled our veggie garden this year.
The last raised bed we made was built out of reclaimed lumber which was buried in a woodpile on our property.

Since it's a bit late in the season, I filled it with sugar snap peas, and a couple of dill.

I had a relaxing afternoon this week creating art with stones collected throughout the garden.

I think I might be part garden faery.

;)

It filled a deeply shaded area in the garden, where lilies, ferns, mondo grass, and moss grow nearby.

              Kalamata Olive Tapenade

1 cup kalamata olives, pitted
2 tbsp capers (optional, i say!)
3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
1 salt, to taste
1 black pepper, to taste
Place garlic cloves into a blender or food processor and pulse to mince. Add olives, capers, parsley, lemon juice, and olive oil. Blend until everything is finely chopped. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
