Farewell August

The huckleberries and blackberries are keeping us well stocked and we've been baking like crazy.
Geraniums, Fuchsia, Poppies, Morning Glory and Sedum are still in bloom, and a gorgeous, random red Rhododendron, too.

Sun Gold Cherry Tomatoes, Lemon Cucumber, and Patty Pan Squash are still producing and ripe for the picking.

Herbs are bolting and conifer cones are falling.

Frog songs and Hermit Thrush calls are music to my ears this time of year.

Farewell August. You've been so beautiful.

  1. Nice. Those blackberries look amazing. I need to find my new blackberry picking spot down here, and get some bagged up for the freezer.

    1. Good idea. We need to freeze some as well, instead of trying to eat them all at once.
