The Light

~

From afar light shines down upon life

Dragonflies shimmer atop of yucca

and shadows move through tree lined paths

The beauty of the light warms the earth

Nourishing 
Gleaming
Awakening

I grow by the light of your gaze

of which melts my heart

and as the light fades into the night

even the poppies curl up to sleep

awaiting the first gleam of dawn to land on the earth once more
