Some People Are Like Flowers
Some people are like flowers. Once they are past the stage of being a tender little sprout, they develop into a beautiful blossom that in time will fully bloom, little by little revealing petal by petal their sweet, delicate, vibrant, unique self.
Peonies are so impressive. I was bummed that the white ones didn't make it this spring. Hopefully next year we will see them again!

Last spring I was inspired by medieval herb gardens that I enjoyed researching about on the web.
That is when I dedicated this raised bed to herbs.
Herbs are amazing because they are so versatile.
They can be used for culinary purposes, medicinally, for aromatherapy, and for decoration.
I am growing oregano, rosemary, thyme, lemon balm, lavender, basil, marjoram, dandelion, sage, mint, feverfew & chives.
I plan to grow much more lavender and rosemary. Oregano & lemon balm grow abundantly around here at the Little Hermitage. A little too much, actually. ; )
